WEDDINGS AT OAKDALE ST GEORGE

St. George’s Church is a beautiful setting for a wedding, with plenty of lovely places outside for stunning photographs to be taken.

 wedding here is not expensive, but there are additional costs should you require Bells, an Organist, Choir, Flowers etc.

​

Marriage is God’s gift. It is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman to one another, and we welcome the opportunity to journey with you as you make your solemn and joyful promises to each other, not just before friends and family, but also in God’s sight and with his blessing.

We would be happy to discuss your wedding here if you can show one of the following connections:

• You, or a parent, have lived in the Parish for a period of at least six months,

• You, or a parent,  have regularly attended services here for the last six months,

• One of you was baptised in the parish,

• One of you was prepared for Confirmation in the parish,

• One of your parents or grandparents were married in the parish.

If you have been married before please speak to us, it may still be possible within the Bishop’s guidelines.  The priest would need a private conversation with you to explore the past before any wedding plans can be made.

​

We also have a large Hall and kitchen for hire should you like to save your guests the problem of moving venues. Caters, Musicians and a fully licensed bar can be hired from outside to cater your special day at our venue but would need to be in discussed with the Church Office in advance.
